Claymores of the Lost Kingdom begins with players being thrust into a fast-paced mix of adventure RPG, strategy, and deckbuilding set against the backdrop of a vast open world. The title begins with players being able to shape their hero through attribute choices, upgrading traits such as strength, constitution, agility, wisdom, and intelligence. These attributes lay the foundation for the rest of the game, influencing combat abilities, decision-making, and deck customization. As players progress through the game, they gain access to new cards and combinations, gradually building a deck that reflects their chosen strategy and style. The primary activity in Claymores of the Lost Kingdom is exploration.

Players navigate a vast map filled with a variety of locations, from mysterious ruins to bustling settlements. Each area hosts a series of events, challenges, or side quests that test strategic thinking and adaptability. The decisions you make carry weight, influencing the outcomes that spill out across the world. The narrative structure encourages exploration, but does so in a way that balances player autonomy and structured goals.
