About The Game

Frostpunk 2 crosses a city-building sim, a management strategy game, and a community survival simulator. The sequel changed the setting slightly. On the one hand, this is still the same post-apocalypse. The earth in this game is still in conditions of eternal cold. On the other hand, 30 years have passed since the events of the original ended. During this time, the era of coal and steam passed. Oil replaced them. The discovery of this energy resource was supposed to make people’s lives easier. However, in the end, humanity faced even more severe threats than before. Black Gold is the main resource in the game Frostpunk 2. As in the first part, the user in the sequel is offered to lead the metropolis. Its population is trying not to freeze during a snow disaster. For the city to survive, gamers will have to face moral dilemmas and make difficult decisions.

Moreover, every choice made will entail consequences. Virtual residents are forced to struggle to survive in conditions of scarcity of resources and in times of change. Therefore, not all of them will like new options for the development of society, which will lead to conflicts. The second part is devoted to the conquest of the Frosty lands, where there are natural oil reserves. The mayor will have to solve various problems — from hunger to the need to look for new sources of energy. The developers have added additional mechanics that complicate the construction and development of the settlement. In the sequel, the influence on the gameplay of such aspects as politics, society, technological progress and the human factor in general was changed. Different social groups have different demands. Sometimes their desires for one faction conflict with the goals of another.
