ALTERBORN is a crazy third-person shooter announced by independent developer Iron Lung at the Future Game Show in March 2022. The creators have set the approximate release date for the fantastic action game as the third quarter of 2023, but already now on the Internet you can find short excerpts of gameplay from the pre-alpha version and a set of art that clearly demonstrates the basic principles and mechanics of the project. The Iron Lung team of game designers pointed out that the game is not a shooter in the classical sense a versatile adventure will combine elements of various genres, including souls-like mechanics, functionality for leveling up the protagonist’s abilities, as well as the ability to fight for the dark side along with the light side, typical for RPG.

Excerpts of the gameplay of the early version, presented by the developer, show spectacular battles with insect-like creatures in a fantastic guise, in which the main character skillfully uses several powerful guns, melee weapons and rapid rolls to evade enemy attacks. The confrontation with aggressive adversaries will unfold in the territories of the mysterious «Broken Lands, ” which are predominantly gloomy dungeons and caves with strange flora and fauna. The available information about the project under development shows that with due diligence from game designers, the release of the final version of the furious shooter can thoroughly stir up the gaming community and become one of the most notable events in the genre in 2023.
