About The Game

Sector Unknown begins with the player, as an escaped prisoner, crash-landing a stolen pod on the abandoned planet of Maku. This world becomes a personal stronghold and base of operations for travel into the unknown reaches of space. There are unique locations to explore, each with its own factions and stories. The main conflict unfolds with the megacorporation Star Frontier, which exploits the resources and inhabitants of the sector, forcing the protagonist to unite the region through diplomacy or force to end the organization's power.

Character creation in Sector Unknown determines the further gameplay, and the choice of origin and personality gives certain non-combat and combat advantages. The hero's abilities are determined by 6 physical attributes and a wide range of non-technical and technical skills, such as Piloting, Stealing and Persuasion. These skills open up ways to resolve situations without direct violence. As the player's coalition grows by adding planets to the alliance, progress is measured by the War Score, which affects the fate of both the protagonist and the sector under his control.

The base on Maku serves as a hub for several support systems. The crafting station allows you to create weapons, armor, starships and drugs from a combination of more than 50 materials found in this RPG. Through the bounty terminal, you can take on contracts for liquidation, tracking down and eliminating criminals in different worlds. The research system is directly tied to the hero's skills: mastering such areas as Computers or Biology opens up unique tech trees with special improvements.
