Strategic planning, resource management, and cooperation are key elements. In Bunker Invaders, players assume the role of a bunker manager. They are tasked with maintaining the bunker by restoring life sources, which are frequently damaged by creatures. Players must remain vigilant, as these creatures pose a constant threat to the stability of the bunker and the safety of its inhabitants. Gameplay requires players to complete various missions within the bunker, which help them gain experience and improve their characters' abilities. The campaign emphasizes resource management.

Players must find and gather essential resources, such as food and water, to sustain the bunker's inhabitants. Resource shortages complicate the gameplay, forcing players to make strategic decisions about how to allocate and use what they have. They must ensure their bunker doesn't run out of supplies, as this can lead to dire consequences, including potential unrest within the bunker. One unique aspect is the Delivery Day mechanic, which occurs every three days. On this day, they must resolve bunker issues and gather the necessary supplies to ensure the bunker's smooth operation.
