About The Game

A Game of Thrones The Board Game — Digital Edition is an iconic board game set in the universe of A Song of Ice and Fire by George Martin. All subsequent events take place after the death of Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros. On the map of Westeros, we represent one of the Great Families belonging to the Seven Kingdoms, and we take part in the race for the Iron Throne in anticipation of the winner of the King. We’re not the only ones looking for the throne, because a power struggle is at stake, so the game is full of moments with intrigue from books and TV series, battles and arms races and concerns about the economy.

The beginning of the game is the time of choosing the house that we want to represent. And so we choose between Lannister, Stark, Greyjoy, Martell, Tyrell and Baratheon. Each of them starts in a different location on the Westeros map, corresponding to their clan headquarters, has different starting resources and generals with different abilities. The game is divided into 10 rounds, during which the players perform both open and secret actions. Secret actions involve all players playing special tokens at the start of each turn in the armies they control, which are then revealed, and their orders are processed in the order in which the player’s initiative level affects. Our army can be made up of infantry, knights, siege engines and ships, and each type has a different strength.
