Anime Studio Story is another well-made game from Kairosoft, it borrows mechanics from their other games, albeit with slight changes, and somehow looks like the game that got the least love for its control games. Giving you control over every element in your studio, your role is to manage finances, personnel, anime production, and other business elements. Starting as a small studio, players will be taking a small anime office into a global multi-deal spanning over 20 years of play, each year offering new opportunities for genres, contract work, and office location. The staff plays a key role in this success, and the first game mechanics you’re used to is offering its talents to your anime empire.

Statistics such as drawing, writing, taste and sound are unique to each employee and directly affect the quality of the anime you can create. Players also need to consider the staff’s stamina, attitude and level that increases over time, along with their salary. All of these staff elements fit right into the anime you create as your first step on any new show that is genre choice. Maybe you want the next big hit in the basketball or fishing niche, or maybe you’ll go for something better known as college life, detective stories, or adventure.
