Land of the Vikings will have to try on the role of the Jarl of the founded Viking settlement. Attempts to develop should allocate resources wisely in difficult northern conditions, which in themselves are deadly. When managing a society, you will have to decide whether to accept new residents into the community in order to worship the Scandinavian gods together. And also to establish trade in manufactured goods or enrich themselves through raids on neighbors.

The Land of the Vikings starter map contains several houses and a carpentry workshop surrounded by a bay with snowy mountains. In order to survive, the locals will have to cut down trees, develop agriculture, fish and hunt wild animals to enrich their diet. In addition, the strategy must be adapted to the inhabitants who inhabit the village. Each of them consists of a combination of 20 characteristics, which makes them more or less suitable for different activities.

So during detuning it will be possible to create:

• Altars of the gods — and receive help from Odin and Freya.
• Unique designs of ships and houses — to make the village special.
• Tavern — for the development of brewing and Viking leisure.
• Army — to gather and train people for raids and defense.

In addition to hard work for development, a series of natural barriers should be resisted. So bad weather will be one of the constant threats that can worsen when storms, abnormal frosts and earthquakes join it. In addition, the first villages, without calculating the costs, will face a banal lack of resources, such as a lack of water or firewood. You can replenish them by trading with other villages, traveling by ship, or simply raiding.
