About The Game

Elypse is a side-scrolling 2D hand-drawn metroidvania. In the indie title, a lot of attention is paid to platforming. The hero often has to overcome various obstacles. The character itself is rather fragile. He dies from one touch on any dangerous object. The protagonist is able to run left and right, jump and dash in different directions. Dashing after jumping will cause the adventurer to hang in the air for a couple of seconds before doing so. Action moments are also present. The gameplay is based on a system of jerks and strikes. There is a partially open world that is divided into 3 biomes. There are places in it that will not be easy to get to without deft and precise movements.

The events shown in Elypse take place in the Abyss. This place is where people make sacrifices. The role of the offering during the ritual of sacrifice just fell to the hero. However, after falling into a dark abyss, he survived. He was helped to survive by a creature named Nyx. Together they lasted 10 years, living in a cave. One day they decide to get to the portal in order to leave the infernal world forever. But no one has yet managed to get out of the Abyss. The main character will have to pump properly in order to accomplish the impossible. Traps, jump puzzles, secrets are placed in interconnected locations. There are also upgrades. They improve existing abilities and give access to new skills.
