About The Game

In Herdling, the player leads a motley crew of creatures called Calicorns on an epic trek into the mountains. The journey takes place along a winding path full of terrifying dangers and unexpected obstacles. Progress requires plotting a route forward through difficult terrain to the secret that lies at the top. Traversing forgotten lands constantly tests the bond between the guide and the animals in their care in the middle of a desolate wilderness.

Navigating a variety of landscapes requires the honed skills of a herder to overcome numerous threats. The route takes you through contrasting locations: from fog-shrouded forests and lifeless snowy plateaus to valleys lost among the peaks. In Herdling, progress depends on solving simple spatial puzzles and facing unexpected challenges to protect the herd. Successfully managing the Calicorns in each situation is a key element of the gameplay and the key to continuing the expedition through the harsh lands.

The game is a wordless narrative centered around themes of trust, survival, and camaraderie. Deep bonds are formed with a group of Calicorns, forged through shared adversity during a great journey across a fallen world. Some moments evolve into breathtaking scenes of high-speed running, capturing the rush of movement alongside the beasts. Ultimately, the title is a story of resilience and relationships forged during a life-changing adventure through the wilderness.
