About The Game

THE SPIRIT LIFT is a card roguelike with horror elements, where a strategic approach to combat prevails over standard genre mechanics. The core of the gameplay is turn-based combat against monsters using a deck composed of everyday items. Each turn is limited by a finite amount of energy, requiring careful planning. Before beginning the ascent, a team of three teenagers is formed, chosen from a group of characters with their own archetypes, such as tennis player Sako or gothic artist Briar. Each has unique power-ups and signature cards that determine their playstyle. Successful battles earn experience points for permanently upgrading cards.

The events unfold within the walls of the Wexington Hotel, where the graduates of Lucid Falls High School have arrived for a party. Here, the group of heroes discovers a sinister elevator leading to cursed levels. The main goal is to ascend to the 13th floor and reach the antagonist. Exploration in THE SPIRIT LIFT involves not only combat but also visiting rooms with random events, where choices impact further progress. Occasionally, you'll encounter the wolf merchant Dorian, offering valuable goods. To survive, you must:

• Fight possessed dolls and predatory mushroom monsters.
• Manage your team's shared action points wisely.
• Make choices in random events, receiving cards or engaging in combat.
• Visit the shop to purchase permanent upgrades and replenish resources.
