Genome Guardian 2 is a dynamic microscopic shooter with a deep weapon assembly system, where the player controls a nanobot immersed in a bioluminescent world of microorganisms. Mutated creatures and anomalies lurk within living ecosystems, transforming the space into a dangerous labyrinth. Survival depends on how the combat vehicle is assembled and what weapon combinations are installed on its hull. The nanobot is built from a variety of modules that affect firing, movement, and weapon performance. Some assemblies transform the vehicle into a stationary turret, while others allow for rapid maneuvering and shooting enemies on the move. Experimenting with components gradually reveals unusual configurations where different mechanisms begin to enhance each other. In the depths of the microscopic world, minerals, anomalies, and living structures are found that can be used to enhance the vehicle. Collecting resources, completing additional objectives, and finding rare power-ups help prepare for more dangerous zones, where enemy pressure increases significantly.
