About The Game

HENPRI is a visual novel that immerses users in a world of confinement, conflict, and introspection. The story revolves around Shuichiro Minato, a young man from Tokyo who finds himself behind bars after an unfortunate incident on a winter night. What seemed like a harmless act of self-expression quickly turns into a legal nightmare: Shuichiro is labeled a public scoundrel and sentenced to ten years of hard labor. His crime? He defended his actions in court as art, but was met with scorn. As a result, he is sent to Tulip Prison, a remote island facility designed to hold those deemed beyond rehabilitation. Within the walls of Tulip Prison, Shuichiro encounters a variety of characters, each with their own troubled past and complex motivations.

One such figure is Hanamaru, known for her calm demeanor and caring advice. She becomes an unexpected ally to Shuichiro, guiding him through the perils of prison life. Her nickname, Cultmaster, hints at the deeper layers of her character, as she navigates the prison’s social dynamics with keen insight and subtle control. There’s another prisoner in HENPRI, Kurebayashi, whose reputation extends far beyond the prison gates. On the outside, she earned the title Drone Girl, due to her involvement in secret recordings. Inside the prison, she’s isolated, wary of making connections, and driven by a deep-seated dislike of other people’s debt. These interactions create a tense environment that keeps players on their toes.
