About The Game

SimplePlanes 2 is an indie simulator from Jundroo, LLC that expands on the classic aircraft building genre with updated mechanics and features. Players can construct aircraft using enhanced wing parts with real NACA airfoils and improved fuselage editing tools, as well as a new set of procedurally generated powerplant parts, allowing them to create everything from cars to forklifts with detailed physics simulation.

The game features over 40 hidden production aircraft scattered across the map that players can discover and reconstruct, and extensive customization options allow players to apply textures to paint, tune the engine adjust the number of cylinders, transmission, and create procedurally generated missiles with adjustable guidance systems and volumetric explosions. Set on the SimplePlanes archipelago, the game world spans 787 square kilometers of detailed terrain, including the city of Vetusta, 330 kilometers of roads, airports, and a racetrack, all rendered with enhanced graphics and water physics. Multiplayer mode supports up to 10 players and more in private lobbies for racing, combat, or coop, and an in-game mascot named Major Chad is available for on foot exploration. The game maintains backward compatibility with over 1000,000 community-created vehicles for the original SimplePlanes, preserving decades of player creativity. Input devices include mouse/keyboard, controllers, and HOTAS flight controls.
