About The Game
I Am Not a Monster is a turn-based strategy game designed exclusively for multiplayer mode. The action takes place in the retro-futuristic world of science fiction (inspired by 1950s movies), where people fight dangerous monsters hiding among them. The difference is that the development of Cheerdealers is focused on multiplayer mode, providing each player with one character. There are two teams that we fall into randomly — civilians and monsters — and each of them is trying to achieve different goals.Civilians try to save non-player characters and destroy monsters using weapons found in boxes scattered across the map (each combination of the two allows you to use a specific special skill). However, they must be careful, because they can easily join the enemy — each wound must be healed within a few turns, or this will lead you to turn into a monster. Monsters, on the other hand, are hiding under human figures, trying to detect the weaknesses of civilians; this means that we can never fully trust our allies. Each monster can see everything that is visible to others, and infect not only civilians, but also independent heroes in order to be able to show off after death.
The developers also used an interesting solution in their work — the rounds of all players are played simultaneously (first, each sets its own move, and then we observe what came of it). The game has a fairly simple, but legible, three-dimensional graphic design. Both the appearance of the location and the characters, and the user interface are a bit like what we know from the Shadowrun games created by Harebrained Schemes. However, the development of Cheerdealers is much more colorful and humorous.
