Into the Pit — is a fast-paced first-person shooter enriched with well-defined roguelike elements. The title was developed by the independent studio Nullpointer Games and released by Humble Games. Into the Pit takes us on a journey into the universe of dark fantasy. The protagonist of the game is a member of a mystical family who, together with his cousin, Luridia, travels through this land, watching for reports of the presence of demons. When, after discovering the titular pit in a gloomy settlement, his contact with the girl is interrupted, the main character must go there to try to find her. In Into the Pit, we observe first-person action FPP.
The game consists of small levels that we go through, destroying hordes of opponents. During incredibly fast battles, we use magic, destroying enemies with various spells that the hero casts at a speed worthy of a machine gun. The ability to use two spells at the same time one for each hand encourages experimentation. In addition to cannon fodder, the greatest strength of which is numbers, from time to time we meet powerful bosses on our way.
As we progress, we save the villagers, who, in gratitude for our help, open their shops for us. Although death is here forever, and after we said goodbye to life, we must start all over again, the improvements purchased from neutral characters remain with us forever. This slightly simplifies subsequent approaches to the game and allows you to gradually increase the combat potential of the protagonist.
