About The Game

Lay of the Land is an indie adventure RPG developed by Southern Cross Interactive. It immerses you in a dynamic, fully destructible voxel world where dangers like fires, avalanches, flowing water, and toxic gases pose constant threats. Explore diverse biomes filled with overgrown ruins, deadly temples, abandoned mines, and winding caves, each harbouring unique wildlife and treasures waiting to be discovered.

Combat offers three distinct approaches: attack with powerful melee weapons and armor, strike from the shadows with ranged weapons, or master spells with magic. The destructible environment will become your primary tactical tool: collapse cave roofs onto enemies, fell trees onto monsters, or punch holes in walls for surprise attacks during encounters with various bosses and creatures.

The voxel-based construction system allows you to build everything from simple shelters to complex castles, while also shaping the terrain to suit your vision. This emergent gameplay encourages creative problem-solving, whether it's destroying the environment in combat or reshaping the landscape for your architectural designs.
