Going Medieval — everyone dreams of managing a personal castle, though not everyone realizes how difficult it can be. Therefore, so that you can assess your capabilities.     Patch 0.5.29.2 At the moment we’re focused on fixing crashes with a couple of bugs and issues fixes here and there too, but don’t worry - we’re simultaneously working on feature updates. Those will have to wait a bit, until we make sure that most of you are experiencing Going Medieval crash-free.
    • Fixed crash caused by quitting to the main menu if the settler's health starts depleting
    • Fixed crash caused by quitting to the main menu while the warning messages are appearing
    • Fixed crash that occurred when one of the production buildings would get destroyed and the player quickly tried to quit the game. Alternatively, the same thing would happen if the player managed to select that building somehow, once it was destroyed
    • Fixed bug that made doors appear "Open" regardless of the state that the player chooses. It should happen way less or not at all
    • Fixed bug that prevented roof from being destroyed if that roof was supported by the ground
    • Fixed issue that prevented room detection from working as intended in some cases - when a player would build one room above the other and try to patch a 1x1 hole in one room's ceiling (the other's floor), the room would not be divided into two rooms.
    • Fixed issue that caused beams to (sometimes) be placed 90 degrees from where they were originally supposed to be
    • Fixed issue that caused the Research panel to not react to the mouse scroll wheel
    • Animals spawn rate received additional rebalance
    • Minor pathfinding optimization have been implemented

    Hello, everyone. The newest patch (0.14.21
    ) is now live on all platforms
    . Please save your progress and restart your game client to update. You should be able to load normally and continue playing. If you have any problems, please let us know.
    Bugs and Fixes
    Fixed several crash occurrences.
    Fixed the issue where if you build ladders next to a stairs, settlers would be able to use those ladders only in one direction (e.g. Just going down the ladder).
    Fixed the issue that allowed for sunlight to affect mushrooms.
    Fixed the issue that made settlers stuck in a picking up/dropping loop animation if a path to the blueprint they were supposed to construct wasn’t clear.
    Fixed the issue that prevented caravans from leaving the settlement. This appeared if there were animals on that caravan and they were unable to reach the edge of the map. Now, you’ll get the message if an animal can’t leave the map. Remember, some animals can’t use ladders.
    Fixed the issue where underground rooms' temperature would appear as 0, even though they contained noticeable heat sources.
    Fixed the issue where relocation of certain structures would cause them to lose their thermal output.
    Possible fix for the audio stuttering, freezing, cuts. Do let us know if it works.
    Fixed some minor text issues.

    Fixed several crash occurrences.
    Fixed the issue where the water penalty did not work properly.
    Fixed the issue where archers wouldn’t shoot arrows while in shallow water and would fight with fists.
    Quality of life improvements
    Hill maps should not be as flat as before (you’ll have to start a new game to check this).
    Known issues:
    Settlers will sometimes end up stuck. Try to save & load. If the issue persists, please F10 it and mention the stuck part.
    Settlers can go up some waterfalls if a slope is generated under that waterfall.
    Large lake formations are missing on mountain and hill maps.
    Sometimes, settlers will not fish. Draft/undraft them and order them to fish again, and they should do it.
    Waterfalls are missing proper sound effects.
    Humans and animals can't drown for some reason. Yay?
    Animals are lacking in animation when swimming (they’ll appear as walking on water).
    Settlers will not choose the closest production building (if there are more of the same type), but the one that has a production set first in the global list of productions.
    If your settlers are experiencing weird animations with some actions, be sure to turn off V-sync and cap the game's FPS in the game's options. Cap it to 60fps. If the issue persists, cap it at 30.

    Rally point (Strategic Structures 1 in the Research window, appears in the Warfare category) - small flag that you use to determine which settler will be tied to it and upon using its call function, draft those settlers and order them to get to the rally point.
    Large Bell (Strategic Structures 2 in the Research window, appears in the Warfare category) - essentially a manager of rally points. Choose which rally point to activate depending on the scenario and by activating it, all those rally points will be drafted at the same time.
    War Table (Strategic Structures 2 in the Research window, appears in the Furniture category) - Needed for leveling the Sergeant-at-arms role.
    Scholars’ Lectern (Library Structures 1 in the Research window, appears in the Furniture category) - organize Study group events with it in your library.
    Ornate Bookshelf (Library Structures 2 in the Research window, appears in the Furniture category) - used to store valuable textbooks.
    Planetarium (Library Structures 3 in the Research window, appears in the Misc category) - Needed for leveling the Librarian role.
    Sergeant’s Podium (Combat Training Equipment in the Research window, appears in the Leisure category) - organize martial training events here within your training room.
    Altar Shelf (Religious Structures 3 in the Research window, appears in the Furniture category) - a fitting spot to place a relic. Essential object for the Center of the Pilgrimage grand objective.
    War Chest (Merchant Structures 1 in the Research window, appears in the Furniture category) - a bigger and stronger box for storing your coins. Needed for leveling the Broker role.
    Scales (Merchant Structures 2 in the Research window, appears in the Misc category). Needed for leveling the Broker role.
