About The Game

Momento is a casual interior design game where your design choices directly impact a multi-dimensional storyline spanning your character's entire life. Developed by Fat Alien Cat and Nomo Studio, the game follows your character from childhood to adulthood, with each item you choose influencing the story and revealing stories of love, heartbreak, and personal growth. You'll navigate interactive environments where you can turn on lights, flip through books, and pet animals, all while deciding which items hold sentimental value. The game explores a variety of settings and themes as you follow your characters dreams into adulthood, with some objects revealing deeper meaning than they initially appear. Objects and furniture collected in Story Mode become available for use in a separate Creative Mode, where you can freely decorate spaces without the constraints of a story.

The game encourages multiple playthroughs to discover new endings and plot threads, while hidden puzzles offer special rewards for inquisitive players. Created by a three-person team across two Brisbane studios, the game features relaxing graphics and music that complement its cozy, introspective atmosphere. Every decorating decision has time-based consequences, making even seemingly insignificant souvenir choices and furniture placements take on significance. The game emphasizes exploration and player expression: there's no wrong way to arrange a space, revealing secrets hidden within each level.
