Steel Assault — is a side-scrolling 2D PC game set in 2040 after uprisings and fascist uprisings rocked the United States. As technological advances continued into the 2030s, the economic foundations of the United States collapsed. Peaceful protests escalated into riots and full-scale civil war as people starved in the streets. One man came to power from the rubble: General Magnus Pierce, a brutal and ruthless tyrant with a mania for restoring America’s former greatness. You play as a resistance soldier armed with a powerful robotic suit one of the last of its kind thrown into long-abandoned enemy-occupied Washington, DC.
