About The Game

Strategos is a real-time military strategy game set in a historical setting. Players command armies from the ancient world, choosing from over 120 factions and 250 unit types: from Greek hoplites and Persian Immortals to Roman legions and Sassanid cataphracts. The game world features detailed maps with historical landscapes, from Hellenic valleys to the deserts of Western Asia, where tactics and diplomacy determine victory.

Characters generals and advisors add depth, exploring themes of leadership, betrayal, and honor in an atmosphere of epic wars where alliances and intrigue shape the outcome. The gameplay offers large-scale historical battles in real time, where thousands of infantry can fight simultaneously, as well as cavalry and more. Players can control enormous squads, issue precise orders, maneuver on the battlefield, employ tactics, and much more.

The game features a built-in editor where players can customize their troops, eras, starting positions, and alliances, including random selection with filters based on steppe peoples or time period. This allows for maximum customization of gameplay and the ability to shape history in your own way. The game boasts superb graphics, with every warrior in the thousands-strong army appearing realistically.
