Adventure quest Commander 85 — is designed primarily for those who love American pop culture of the eighties or are nostalgic for those times. The developers have put great emphasis on detailed recreation of the atmosphere of those years. There are even radio stations with authentic music and advertisements. The game is inspired by old films about the dangerous digital mind. There are also references to Stranger Things. The action takes place in 1985 in a suburb of Chicago. According to the plot, the birthday boy receives a brand new computer with advanced artificial intelligence as a gift from his parents. The PC turns out to be not so easy, and soon the holiday turns into a sci-fi thriller.

In Commander 85, a teenager will have to prevent the onset of a nuclear winter. During the adventure, he will acquire allies in the person of friends and a mad scientist. Cold War, harsh government, US Army experiments and the Roswell incident are attached. In the project, the first person view with free movement. The creators have implemented a very interactive environment. You can insert cassettes into VCRs, change the radio frequencies on the boombox, sit on a sofa with a TV remote control and watch programs, turn on the radio and talk with a partner.

The gamer can install various programs on the computer from floppy disks, including video games in them can be fully played, and communicate with the AI. The machine itself reacts differently to user commands and voices its opinion on a particular occasion using voice messages. The computer can change the attitude towards people from friendly to maliciously sarcastic. The user will need to often talk with his family of Polish immigrants.
